The beautiful market town of Figeac

You will be able to find many places of interest in less than an hour's drive from the house. Of note are the nearby village of Cajarc (10 minutes), the beautiful local market town of Figeac (20 minutes), and the renowned villages of St. Cirq-lapopie (25 minutes) and Rocamadour (one hour). If you enjoy meandering through the local markets many can be reached in villages and towns close to the house. These include Cajarc, Figeac, Villefranche, Limogne, Cahors, and Gramat – all less than an hour from the house. One for nearly each day of the week.

To the south the celebrated village of St. Cirq-Lapopie graces the beauty of the Lot Valley and is well worth a visit.

 

Rocamadour

The renowned medieval village of Rocamadour is perched on the hillside in the north of the region.

Many outdoor activities can also be enjoyed including cycling, canoeing on the river lot, fishing, rambling & hiking in the Cantal Mountains, and horse riding. In the winter you can reach the Aubrac Plateau or the Cantal Mountains in little over an hour for cross-country skiing and snow-walking.

If you want to drive a little further, in less than two hours the famous Millau Bridge can be reached or the Airbus factory at Toulouse.
